-Hey, Zebra, I have a question for you. Since it is Samhain, or as it is commonly known, “Halloween”, we’re living in a special time quality, where ancient societies thought that the different spheres of the worlds mingle: the seen and the unseen, more or less. Would you agree?
Zebra nods with a thoughtful expression. --It is also the time when we have to realise the influence of people or other beings who no longer live in our world sphere. The learnings they initiated. And it is, as you know, the last festival of the year to give thanks for the harvest. So it's about appreciation.
…which means, Okapi adds, also the emotional, spiritual and intellectual harvest. Which means, furthermore, that we are evolving while integrating experiences.
-Exactly. And while it is important to recognize that each individual has their own way of expressing all of life, there is always still the challenge to evolve.
-Which reminds me, Okapi says, that it is not necessarily a contradiction to think, that everybody is already and in itself, complete.
-What are you getting at? Zebra asks, a little skeptical.
-The philosophical notion that each individual is already "complete" can be explained in a simple and understandable way using the metaphor of a puzzle. Here's an explanation.
Okapi takes a deep breath and solemnly declares as if speaking to an imaginary audience:
-Imagine that each person is like a unique puzzle. From the moment we are born, we already possess all the pieces necessary to create a beautiful and complete picture of who we are. These puzzle pieces represent our talents, abilities, emotions, experiences, and potential.
-I see, but where does the necessity to evolve come from? Zebra wants to know.
-Well, throughout life, we may encounter challenges, experiences, or external influences that make us believe we are incomplete or lacking something. It's as if some of our puzzle pieces are missing or misplaced. We may seek external validation, success, or material possessions, thinking that they will make us whole.
-Interesting, muses Zebra. So while the truth is that we are already whole and complete, just like the puzzle, we just have to look for the missing pieces…
-…which are not really missing; they are simply waiting to be discovered and embraced within us. Our journey is about finding and connecting these pieces, understanding ourselves, and embracing our uniqueness. Okapi seems very satisfied with this explanation.
-Nice. I will keep that in mind. And now let’s see if there are any sweets to celebrate, says Zebra.
-Ok, let's do that, Okapi happily agrees and moves forward.
Ooh I really like this idea!
